This partnership aims to place Blacktag’s network of creators in front of a larger audience and provide brands, agencies and entertainment partners another avenue to fulfill their commitments to diversity and inclusion while driving cultural change. This year’s SLATE lineup will feature 20 hand-selected talent across various commercial / production disciplines to be promoted and presented to Versus’ client and agency partners for new commercial work.

If you weren’t selected for the 2023 class — no worries! Blacktag and Versus still have something for you.

First-look production deal with Blacktag Studios whereby Versus will be supporting the development and production of new Blacktag and Blacktag Creator Original IP. This includes television series, documentaries, graphic novels, and more. Creators who applied to be a part of SLATE and the BTxVS network will have the chance to submit pitches to Blacktag for review. Quarterly, Blacktag will present a curated selection of projects to Versus for development consideration.

All applicants will receive special invitations to an exclusive workshop series where we equip creators with essential tools, resources, and opportunities to produce and develop more work, while also shedding valuable insight into navigating the entertainment and commercial industries. Topics will include pitch preparation, treatment development, production resources, and more. We’re open to collaboration/partnership with any brand, studio or network to co-host one of these quarterly workshops.
